General

Costa de la Luz means"Coast of Light". It lies at the southern tip of the Spanish Atlantic coast, running from Ayamonte (on the border with Portugal) to the southernmost tip of Tarifa (Straits of Gibraltar).

The north-western part of the territory belongs to the province of Huelva, whilst the south-east part belongs to the province of Cadiz.

These two provinces are separated from one another by the National Park “Coto Doñana, which is home to the estuary “Guadalquivir”. Among the attractions and places worth visiting, are: Cordoba, Seville and Jerez de la Frontera.
