Excursions in Tallinn
Join us on this tour, where you will visit a graveyard for unloved soviet statues and see a great range of soviet era buildings. We will ride the local bus to escape the tourist bubble. Moreover, you will know the headquarters of the KGB and discover why the Bronze Soldier caused such a fuss. Dont miss this experience!
Discover the legends and stories that have become an integral part of the fabric of the city's history on this half-day walking tour of Tallinn. Wander through the upper and lower towns that make up the World Heritage-listed Old Town, and visit the bohemian streets of the suburb of Kalamaja.
While the old town has been astonishingly well preserved and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997, it is now in better shape than ever. The new centre of town is Vabaduse valjak (Freedom Square) at the edge of the old town and nearby is the giant matchbox of Hotel Viru, the former Intourist flagship and notorious den of Cold War intrigue (every room was tapped and monitored by the KGB).
