Discover the spectacular landscapes of Los Haitises, the most famous National Park in the Dominican Republic in this full-day tour. This wildlife reserve and bird sanctuary situated on the remote north eastern coast of the island is studded with small islands and caves and comprises more than 60km2 of mangrove.

After being picked up from your hotel we´ll head for Cayo Levantado where we´ll board a boat and explore the mangroves around San Lorenzo Bay. The reserve is also home to many caves and caverns created by water erosion. Many of caves were adorned with cave paintings by Native Americans from the pre-Columbus era.

The area is also home to hundreds of different species of birds, including egrets, pelicans, vultures, frigate birds and herons. The silence of the mangrove swamps interrupted only by the myriad sounds of incredible birdsong and The sight of frigate birds and pelicans circling low overhead, will linger in your memory for years to come. This is truly a magical place.

Afterwards the tour will head to Cayo Levantado (Bacardi Island), where you will enjoy an exquisite buffet lunch and free time to enjoy the island’s white sandy beaches.
