A whole world of water attractions for all the family awaits at Waterland, a water park packed with slides of all heights and shapes, from white-knuckle rides to gentle slides. Zoom down the corkscrew twists and turns of the gigantic Simvoli. Take on the kids as you whizz down the Multi Slides – they’re so steep, your heart will be in your mouth. Or whoosh down the Lazy River on a rubber ring. There are more than 30 water slides, including the Kamikaze, the highest slide in Europe.

Mount Athos Cruise

Mount Athos Cruise

Mount Athos is up there alongside the Acropolis in the Greek landmark stakes. You see, it’s the world’s one and only monastic republic. It’s made up of 20 cliff-hugging monasteries, some of which date back to the ninth century.

Some 1,700 Orthodox monks live here, dressed in their signature black robes and pillar box hats. Access to Mount Athos is extremely limited. What´s more women are forbidden from going within 500 metres of the place. But that’s where this trip comes in. Your cruise boat sails close to the shores of the Athos Peninsula so you can take a sneaky peek at this holy site.

What better way to spend the day than sailing over the Aegean, stopping at beaches and islands along the way? That’s the score on this cruise to Sithonia, the middle of Halkidiki’s peninsulas. First up, you’ll board a galleon-style ship, lazing on deck as it cuts through the waters and passes by green islands. Top up your tan or join in the games organised by the friendly crew. Then, you’ll drop anchor at Toroni Bay, where a stretch of sand melts into shallow waters. Spend a couple of hours here soaking up the sun and swimming in the sea before rejoining your ship for lunch and a glass of wine. Next, your boat will cruise on to Turtle Island, a pine-wooded island that’s shaped like a sleeping turtle. Here, you’ll get another chance to swim or snorkel or lounge on deck before the crew call time up and you sail back to port.

Hurtle down the corkscrew twists and turns of the gigantic Simboli. Take on the kids as you whizz down the Multi Slides - they’re so steep, your heart will be in your mouth. Or whoosh down the Lazy River on a ring buoy.

When you want a break from all the whiteknuckle stuff, you’ll find plenty of sun terraces, cafés and bars for relaxing as well.

And after all than fun, we’ll collect you and drive you to the Mediterranean Cosmos shopping centre, which has two levels of stores selling some of the best known labels. There are indoor and outdoor cafés, restaurants and bars. Later in the afternoon we will take you back to your resort.

Afitos or Athitos? That is the usual question one has to answer when asked for the name of this rock-built village, located in Chalkidiki. Both names are in fact valid, since Afitos is the modern name of the ancient village Afitis. The beautiful little streets with the stone houses are full of secrets and surprises.
