Chapala y Ajijic
Come with us and enjoy a spectacular day out, discover Mexico's largest lake and explore colourful lakeside villages famous for their textiles and hot springs.
After picking you up from your hotel we will ahead for Lake Chapala, Mexico's largest freshwater lake, situated on the border of the States of Jalisco and Michoacan, home to several species of migratory birds and thousands of indigenous plants and animals. Lake Chapala is famous worldwide because of its magnificent climate and its lovely scenery. When you see the beautiful bougainvilleas in bloom all year round and the great views, you will understand why thousands of expatriate artists and retirees from the USA and Canada have decided to make the area their permanent home.
We will also visit the villages of Chapala and Ajijic, famous for their production of colourful textiles. You have the option of having lunch in one of the best restaurants in Ajijic. Then we will continue to the picturesque lakeside villages of Chula Vista and San Juan Cosala, famous for their hot springs. Don't miss this opportunity to explore these typical Mexican villages as you admire the beauty of Lake Chapala.
