Old Town Guadalajara
Come and take a journey into the past as we go back to the time when the city of Guadalajara was first founded on this four hour tour of the Pearl of the West.
You'll learn how this area that was originally settled by indigenous peoples in several different villages developed into the beautiful modern city as we know it today. We'll discover old convents, colonial-style churches and mysterious cemeteries, hidden away in parts of this modern, bustling city where time seems to have stood still.
We'll visit the Church of Santa Monica, the Temple of St. Felipe Neri, the City Museum, the Sanctuary of Guadalupe dating from the 18th Century, the Belen Pantheon, an eerie, abandoned cemetery the Casa de los Perros, now a museum of journalism and the old Civil Hospital.
We will also visit the Analco district with its rich reminders of the area's indigenous past. Your knowledgeable local guide will tell you all about the history, legends and traditions of Mexico's second city, bringing the past to life.
