The Bird Park is conveniently located at the entrance of the Iguassu National Park, and fully integrated into its natural surroundings. Mingle with and photograph hundreds of different native and exotic birds, snakes, caimans, marmosets and butterflies in spacious walk-through aviaries and trails that wind through the jungle.
**City Tour and Landmark of the three frontiers** Enjoy a city tour through downtown. Pay a visit to the border of the three countries (Brazil. Paraguay and Argentina) and experience the excitement of seeing the meeting of three rivers.
Travel by land and river. The adventure begins with embarkation from Porto Meira (Iguassu River, Iguassu Falls, Brazil) in a 40-passenger capacity yacht with a cabin, covered deck, sun deck and American bar. From Porto Meira the boat navigates a section of the Iguassu River passing under the Tancredo Neves Bridge (Brazil to Argentina) and in front of the Landmark of the Three Frontiers, where one has an excellent view of the Americas Space. The Americas Space is a government project of the State of Paraná and was planned as a center for large to medium sized events. The structure, built in a contemporary style, is at the exact spot where the Iguassu and Parana Rivers meet, providing another picture perfect view of the region. This branch of the Parana River is also dominated by the famous "Dourado" fish, also known as the "Tiger of the Parana". Enjoy the beautiful riverside scenery of rocks and vegetation native to the region while the crew serves Brazilian cocktails made from local fruits - a success among foreigners, generally lovers of a good "caipirinha". Upon arrival at Puerto Bertoni on the Paraguayan bank of the river, the second stage of the excursion begins. First we will hike through a forest trail (one of the magic moments of the excursion) that leads to the old Bertoni family installations which have been transformed into a museum. Personal objects, family furnishings, hundreds of books edited by the scholarly Swiss, machines, working objects and photographs are among other historical records detailing the passage of Moises Bertoni through the triple-frontier region
1**Iguassu Falls** 2 N3othing in the world of water compares to, or is more impressive than the natural spectacle provided by the stunning group of 275 waterfalls that make up the Iguassu Waterfalls. Located a few kilometers from the union of the Iguassu River with the Paraná River, the waterfalls take you to a state of awe with their size, water flow and strong current. The geologic change that gave birth to the Iguassu Waterfalls took place nearly 150 million years ago and shook the earth crust around the globe. At the Iguassu region those changes created a gigantic canyon, full of rock steps through which the grand Iguassu flows, producing a huge steam cloud and a deafening sound. The average flow of the Waterfalls is around 1.800 m3 per second, for an average amount of 10 million liters per second. During the rain season, the stream of the Iguassu River increases and shows an even more beautiful spectacle. The biggest waterfall is the Devils Throat, which is 90 meters high. The volume of water poured down creates a cloud of drizzling water that can be watched from kilometers away.

**Itaipu Dam** During the 1970´s and the 1980´s, while it was under construction, the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam was regarded as a pharaonic work, fruit of the megalomaniac commanders ruling Brazil in those years. Today, after three decades, the perspective is quite different. Responsible for the production of 95% of the electricity consumed in Paraguay, and for 24% of the whole Brazilian consumption, this binational enterprise built by workers, technical operators and engineers from Brazil and Paraguay proves day after day its magnitude in the national and the international scene. The first generator unit started to operate in 1984 and since then the power plant has successively broken production and revenue records. Besides the production of energy, Itaipu also stands as a symbol of environment preservation. The company runs the Biological Haven Bela Vista, continuous reforestation programs and projects that foster fish production as well as wild animal reproduction. There is also an Eco-museum that tells the story of the construction and maintenance of this unrivaled work. There are two options of tours on Itaipu Dam: The Panoramic tour: Watch a documentary film on the power plant. See the dam and spillway from the central observation deck (without entering the facility)
Ecological trails, canyons, wild animals and a spectacular view Iguassu Falls are some of the things you´ll encounter during this unforgettable excursion through the Iguassu National Park. The adventure begins at the entrance to the Macuco Safari, located 25 kilometer down Cataratas Highway inside Iguassu National Park. Board open jeep-towed wagons that allow for an unobstructed view of the scenery along the trail. During the stretch of three kilometers through the jungle, multi-lingual guides will point out examples of the flora and fauna of the Park. Orchids, palm trees, bromeliads, centenarian trees, and even wild animals that occasionally cross the trail are pointed out by the guides. The hike is the second stage of our journey. On a stretch of 600 meters, is a hike on a trail that leads to a waterfall called "Macuco Falls" (optional). The waterfall - perfect for a refreshing dip on hot days - spills down from a height of approximately 20 meters. Access is via a stairway carved into the ancient rock. The last stop is the Macuco Safari docks on the Brazilian side of the Iguassu River. In the water, inflatable bi-motor boats await us. They´re constructed to withstand the rigors of the excursion, as well as being secure and efficient vessels. Before embarkation, passengers receive life-vests and plastic containers in which to protect photographic and filming equipment. The boat travels up-river passing the canyon facing the rapids at a speed that allows for scenic viewing. Rocks, animals and ample amounts of greenery complete the scenery until the base of the Falls is reached, next to the "great horseshoe" know as the "Devils Throat". Enjoy a waterfall shower. Rainbows, blue sky, mist and water in abundance, punctuate the spectacle whose high-point is the "The Three Musketeers". Here the captain maneuvers the boat in order to get close enough to provide the passengers with a quick and refreshing shower. Since at the end of the fun everyone normally ends-up wet, passengers more sensitive to cold should make sure to bring extra clothing to use after the boat excursion. Comfortable shoes and clothing are highly recommended. Please Note: The specific departure time for this tour will be determined upon reconfirmation. The Macuco tour itself, takes about an hour and twenty minutes. After that you are free to explore the park on your own before being taken back to the hotel.
**Rafting Iguassu Falls** Visitors will receive instructions from the operations coordinators. They will also receive a lifeguard vest and helmet. Shortly after, passenger board and the tour begins, passing by the Three Musketeers waterfall. Massimo Desiati, a professional with a vast experience in this field, coordinates the rafting tour. Five times Brazilian Canoeing Champion, Desiati has worked with the professionals hired for this activity for over two years. Apart from the operations training, the guides also learn safety aspects and are members of the Brazilian Canoeing Confederation.
