Important: This excursion does not include the BTC (tourist ticket cusco), for more information see below of tour description. Your tour will begin in the archaeological complex of Tipon. It lies 27 Km. southeast of the city of Cusco and its archaeological remains are well preserved. Near the town of the same name, stands an impressive colonial rural mansion (1650), 12 terraces that are still cultivated, some campuses and an irrigation system considered a masterpiece of hydraulic engineering still used by the neighboring population. Then continue to Pikillacta, a pre-Inca citadel, considered one of the best preserved of Peru and corresponding to the Wari culture, the predecessor of the Incas. Among its 700 structures covering more than 3 000 hectares, are found stone and mud buildings of two and three storey terraces and a head of a condor carved into a cliff. It is estimated that in this city, which streets are still in use, lived about 10 thousand people. Finally reach Andahuaylillas. Located 40 kilometers from Cusco, it is a small town which main attraction is the Andahuaylillas Church. Also called the "Sistine Chapel of America" due to the high quality pieces of art found in it, its structure was built in the sixteenth century on the remains of buildings probably Wari. Today it has an original pipe organ recently restored.
