Excursions in Bodrum

Chill Out Cruise

Chill Out Cruise

This VIP cruise is all about sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the scenery. And because it is reserved exclusively for adults, the atmosphere is really relaxed and civilised. You’ll sail along Bodrum’s coastline, passing sandy beaches, little coves and colourful resorts.

Hop on board the gulet, smooth on the sun-cream and stretch out on deck drenched in warm sunshine. With the sea breezes keeping you cool, it’s the perfect way to top up your tan. And as you sail, help yourself to drinks - local beer, soft drinks and tea and coffee are all laid on. You’ll stop at three beaches and tuck into an included on board lunch along the way.

At Camel beach, take a dip or even take a camel ride along the sands. Then there’s Aquarium Bay. With its pristine turquoise waters teeming with brightly coloured fish, it’s snorkelling heaven. And after one final stop in another achingly beautiful bay, you’ll get another chance to relax on the boat and enjoy the scenery as you sail slowly back to port.

This full day excursion includes hotel pick up and drop off, all transfers, lunch, unlimited local drinks and the services of an English-speaking guide throughout. Ice-cream, spirits and imported drinks are not included. Remember that this mini-cruise is for adults only. Remember to bring comfortable shoes, swimwear and towel, sunglasses, sun-hat and sunscreen as well as some money.

Chilling out is the order of the day on this gullet cruise. You’ll sail along Bodrum’s coastline, passing sandy beaches, little coves and colourful resorts. Sundowner

Sundowner

Join us for this sunset-and-dinner cruise and see Bodrum in a new light - from the sea.

First, we'll drive you to your gulet at Gumbet harbour, where you'll set sail at sundown. Keep your camera ready as you drift past rugged shores and into picture-postcard Aquarium Bay. But the star turn is yet to come - Bodrum harbour. Think whitewashed houses tumbling down the hillsides to massive St. Peter's Castle. Splitting the harbour in two, this 15th century fortress was built by the Knights of St. John and strikes a dramatic pose, especially at dusk.

Dropping anchor in the waters below, you'll get great views over its towers and battlements, which are illuminated at night. You'll stay here as dinner is served on deck. Tuck in to your meal and buy drinks from the bar as you take in the romantic setting - the floodlit castle backed by the twinkling lights of Bodrum.

This evening excursion includes hotel pick up and drop off, transfers, dinner and the services of an English-speaking guide throughout. Please note that drinks are not included.

Dalyan

Dalyan

Combine nature and history on this trip to Dalyan. This beautiful spot on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast is packed with things to do and see and has attracted celebrities including Robbie Williams, Jack Nicholson and Dustin Hoffman as a result.

The main attraction has to be the mud pools along the Dalyan River. We´ll board a boat and sail down the river past reed beds heading for these therapeutic pools, which have been used for healing since the times of the Ancient Greeks. Wallow in the warm, sulphur-rich mud and rinse off in the thermal springs. Then judge for yourself - it’s said to make you feel ten years younger.

After that, we´ll sit down for an open buffet lunch before we continue our cruise further down the river, sailing past the Lycian rock tombs. These astonishing Royal Tombs were cut into the living rock high above the river in around 400BC.

Our last stop is Iztuzu beach, a protected nesting ground for endangered Caretta-caretta, or loggerhead, turtles. After sailing to this beautiful sandbar at the river mouth, you’ll have two hours’ to relax. Lie back in the sun, swim in the Mediterranean and enjoy the views over the mountains and sea.

This full day guided tour takes approximately twelve hours; you will be picked up from your hotel at around 06:00h, returning at 18:30 and includes transfers, bilingual guide and a buffet lunch. We suggest you bring comfortable shoes and clothes, sunglasses and a cap, swimsuit and sun screen.

Shopaholics and souvenir hunters listen up - this one's right up your street. It's a morning dedicated entirely to shopping at a bustling Turkish street bazaar.

First up, we'll pick you up from your hotel and drop you off in the centre of the action, giving you around two hours to roam around on your own. Get ready to splash your cash as you wander round the rows of shaded stalls. You'll pass tables laden with tempting local fruit and vegetables and all kinds of foodstuffs. You'll see stalls piled high with soft-knit pashminas, jewelled slippers and hand-woven rugs. And rack after rack of soft leather bags, brightly painted pots and gleaming brass ornaments.

You name it you'll probably find it here. Just make sure you haggle to get the best deals. The stallholders will take euros, UK Sterling and Turkish Lira. And whatever you do, don't leave without buying a box of sugar-dusted Turkish Delight. These sticky sweets are an exotic taste of Turkey and a great take-home treat.

Turgutreis itself is a pretty seaside town, named after Turgut Reis (known in the West as Dragut), a Turkish admiral who was born here in 1485. You will also enjoy its 5 kilometres of sandy beaches and many waterfront restaurants and bars.

You will be picked up from your hotel between 09:00 and 10:00 returning between 13:00 and 14:000. The excursion includes transfers and the services of a bilingual guide. We suggest you bring comfortable shoes and clothes, sunglasses, a cap and sun screen.

Tukish Bath

Tukish Bath

Relax into your holiday and kick-start your tan with a Turkish bath or hammam. Hammams have existed in Turkey since ancient times, providing locals with a way to relax, freshen up and catch up with gossip all at the same time. They are also brilliant for exfoliating your skin so you are more likely to develop a lasting tan.

Everything starts when we take you to one of the best local hammams. Here, you will change into your swimwear in a cubicle and wrap up in a towel. Then it is off to the hammam itself - a humid, marble-tiled room with a ”gobektasi”, or heated stone slab, in the centre. Relax as the heat softens your skin, opens your pores and gets you sweating out those toxins. Next, you will lie on the gobektasi, where you will be treated to a body scrub followed by a head-to-toe massage in soft, soapy bubbles.

Then there will be plenty of time to rinse off and cool down before returning back to your hotel feeling tingling and refreshed. There´s an optional oil massage available for an extra charge, too. This half-day excursion includes hotel pick up and drop off, all transfers, sauna, hammam, peeling, soap, and soap massage. Please note that drinks and oil massage are not included. Guests with skin disorders should inform the excursion department. Pregnant women and asthmatics should seek medical advice beforehand. Please note that the hammam has mixed (male/female) and separate sections. You should not bring valuables with you.
