Excursions in Adelaide
On departing Adelaide we travel the scenic route through the Torrens Gorge. Our first stop is The Big Rocking Horse where you can browse the famous toy factory, view the native animals and purchase tea, coffee or morning snack (own cost). From there we travel the picturesque countryside to Angaston to visit Angas Park Dried Fruits.
Departing from the City, stop at Mt. Lofty Summit for panoramic views over the city of Adelaide (a great photo opportunity) then on to the Adelaide Hills township of Hahndorf. You have free time to browse the historic township with a fascinating array of shops and curiosities.
Discover the highlights of South Australias premier nature-based tourism destination, Kangaroo Island. From Remarkable Rocks to playful fur seals, SeaLink guides will take you to the Kangaroo Islands natural highlights. Early morning pick up from your Adelaide hotel for a scenic coach trip to Cape Jervis to connect with SeaLinks ferry for the 45 minute crossing to Kangaroo Island. Our tour departs from the city and heads towards Glenelg, taking the coastal route to the Fleurieu Peninsular. Our drive down the beautiful mid-south coast, with its glistening seascapes of the Gulf St Vincent and pristine beaches awards our arrival at our first famous cellar door. We have time for two more stunning wineries, steeped in history before lunch at a local restaurant. We visit three more cellar doors after lunch; passing through rolling vistas of vineyards along the way.

We visit Fox Creek Winery's state of the art winemaking facility for a tour of their production area before stopping at their quaint Cellar Door for tasting of their range of wines. Next the Olive Grove, taste olives, olive oils and other local products together with the Lloyd Brothers range of wines for tasting.

Depart Holdfast Shores Marina, Glenelg (only 15 minutes from Adelaide CBD) on "Temptation", a 57ft sailing catamaran. For the swimmers, the interaction can last over an hour, usually spread over three or four swims with different pods of dolphins. For the watchers, the dolphins are often just out of reaching distance allowing their captivating displays to be captured on film.
